Tretyakov Gallery launches the program "Your twentieth century"

In the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val launched the cultural program "Your twentieth century." Representatives of the Tretyakov Gallery spoke about this Life around.

The program will run until the end of 2016. Every Thursday in the museum it will be possible to get acquainted with the art of a decade from the 1910s. Important musical compositions, stories, poems and paintings of the twentieth century were selected for the program.

“Your 20th Century” includes five cycles, each event of which is associated with a certain era. For example, in the near future the Tretyakov Gallery will host the cycle “Anthology of the Story”, where works by Zoshchenko, Kataev, Babel will be performed. They will be read by Russian actors and directors, including Renata Litvinova, Benjamin Smekhov and others.

Also in the program there are cycles "Music of Time", "Evolution of Jazz" and "Amazonian Poetry". The cycles will be repeated every month, but will be dedicated to a new, subsequent decade.

For the visit you need to pay 400 rubles.

The first event, entitled “Music of the Time - 1910s,” will take place this Thursday, March 3, at 19:00.

Also in 2016, which was declared the Year of Russian Cinema, the Tretyakov Gallery will hold a series of film screenings. The first show will take place on March 5 from 16:00 to 19:00.
