Not far from the Moskovskaya metro station, The Safe began its work. His ideologist is Anna Moskvitina, a former sommelier of the Italy Group.
The restaurant was opened in the premises where the branch of Lenoblbank used to be located. Among other things, after closing it, there was a large bank safe. It was too expensive to demolish it, so they decided to keep the safe and converted it into a wine shop, which became the core of the establishment. It sells 460 brands of wine from budget to collection. Any bottle can be bought and drunk in a restaurant, for this they take a cork fee of 750 rubles. In addition, the menu has 40 draft wine positions. In order to ensure such a variety, The Safe uses a special system when wine is poured without removing the cork, and inert gas is simultaneously pumped into the bottle.
The kitchen in the restaurant was set by Dmitry Roshchin ("We're on you", "House of Life"), though almost immediately after the opening of the post as chef, he was replaced by Alexei Kvasov (Legran, "The Flying Dutchman"). Approximately half of the compact menu is given to wine snacks - tapas and tartars. For example, there is olives tapenade (140 rubles), roast beef with blue cheese sauce (180 rubles), zucchini carpaccio (240 rubles), salmon ceviche (520 rubles). The second half of the menu is divided into four equal parts between dishes of fish, meat, vegetables and pastas. An octopus with couscous and celery will cost 560 rubles, a steak top blade with pearl barley and kvass - 590 rubles, lettuce on the grill - 280 rubles.
Closer to the fall, the restaurant will start operating a wine school, under which a separate room is given. But now, for educational purposes, the Safe menu includes two tasting sets dedicated to the Italian Barolo.
