Since its founding, Life around has been tirelessly following everything that happens in the city - the opening of shops, cafes, restaurants and salons - and talks about the most significant and interesting readers. However, the normative pursuit of novelty by 2016 has become obsolete: when you talk about discoveries, you forget about old places that continue to change for the better. Now in our heading "Place" we collect both institutions that have just opened up, and simply have become loved by us over the years, which can surprise us and become a good place for relaxing and meeting friends. In the new issue - Drinkit Cafe, located not far from 1905 street.
The Drinkit project began a year ago with the desire of two girls, Ksenia Mandrik and Nastya Nikitina, to create their own coffee shop. Prior to that, they worked in the Artemy Lebedev Studio: Nastya was the chief barista, and Ksyusha was the administrator in the Big Cafe on Myasnitskaya Street. Since the team had no money to open their own cafe, they decided to make Drinkit mobile and participate in food festivals: from Foodiez of Moscow and "Oh, yes! Food!" to Picnic "Posters" and Seasons. Less than six months later, in December 2015, the first stationary Drinkit cafe appeared on 2nd Zvenigorodskaya Street.
Now, right next to the Drinkit are a bar with Right Hops craft beer and a 5/8 barbershop, but half a year ago the building was abandoned. The Loft19.0.5 team helped with the restoration, and the architect Olga Rokal proposed the idea for the interior. Then Ksenia and Nastya came up with everything themselves. Recently, designer Lyudmila Lyalina joined the team. The cafe has 30 seats, including a bar. Soon they plan to make a summer veranda in a cozy quiet courtyard.
Initially, they wanted to make only coffee and desserts, but soon realized that "the place dictates its own rules", and significantly expanded the menu. Nastya is responsible for coffee, and Ksyusha helps with ideas. Green grain for Drinkit is purchased from Hummingbird Coffee. They also cooperate with suppliers from other regions of Russia: BunaCoffee from Tver and OMNI Coffee from Krasnodar. Beans themselves are fried in the Hummingbird laboratory. There is a special offer in Drinkite - the 7th cup of coffee is free: to mark the number of drinks drunk, they give a special card with a whale - a symbol of the cafe. Of the drinks, berry dream cream (“the same as raff, but sounds cooler”) for 200 rubles, the Black and White latte for 230 rubles (served in grail, inside shades of caramel and mint freshness, black powder on top) deserves special attention. , latte "Salty Caramel" for 230 rubles and espresso for 100 rubles. Caramel and sauces are prepared by themselves.

Desserts are something worth going to the Drinkit from another part of Moscow. It is not surprising that Ksyusha and Nastya keep the name of the confectioner secret: one of the future projects - the confectionery - they want to do just because of her. Every day, new cakes (all for 200 rubles), pies, eclairs and cookies appear on the window. For example, honey cake, curd ring (70 rubles), carrot cake, lemongrass. Ask for "secret" cookies (they are not on the menu) - and for only 80 rubles you will get a delicious dessert of two coconut meringues, fastened with creamy walnut sauce. Soon, waffle cones with custard, smoothies and soft drinks will appear on the menu.
For dishes and desserts, seasonal products are used. Drinkit has its own supplier, whose name is not disclosed. Meat is bought in the Sliver smokery at a price slightly higher than the market price, but of excellent quality and taste. The menu is constantly updated, so sometimes there are unwritten items that can be found at the checkout. For example, every day they cook a new soup. It is worth trying cream soups: tomato with oregano, mozzarella and arugula or baked cabbage soup of various kinds. Sandwiches are changed every three to four months: now guests are offered a sandwich with chicken and onion confit, a sandwich with light-salted salmon and cottage cheese, a sandwich with smoked roast beef and sauce of baked bell pepper and apricot jam, as well as a sandwich with smoked duck and mozzarella lingonberry sauce - all for 250 rubles. In addition, you can try cheesecakes with seeds or with bright currants, and in the near future with orange zest.
This summer, the Drinkita team is planning an off season and launching another point. The plans include developing not only in Moscow, but also in the regions. Despite the fact that Drinkit was conceived as a network project, they do not plan to sell the franchise. In June, they will launch the "School of Barista Nastya Nikitina"; Nastya is a national coffee judge and has experience in consulting and training a barista.
